AI Poem Generator

An AI poem generator writes a poem about a subject you choose, in a form and mood you pick. You describe what the poem is about, from autumn leaves to your grandmother's hands, choose one of six forms and one of six moods, and a language model writes a titled poem.

The forms each come with rules, and the prompt passes them on. A haiku is three lines of five, seven and five syllables. A sonnet has fourteen lines. A limerick rhymes AABBA and is usually funny. An acrostic spells a word down the first letter of each line, here the main word of your topic. Rhyming poems keep an end rhyme, and free verse drops meter and rhyme altogether. The moods (reflective, joyful, romantic, melancholy, funny and inspiring) change word choice and imagery. The model is also told to use concrete images rather than abstractions, which is the most common advice any poetry teacher gives.

Be realistic about the result. A 1B model is good at shape and imagery and weaker at strict counting, so a haiku may be a syllable off and a sonnet's meter will rarely be perfect iambic pentameter. Count the lines and syllables if the form matters, for example for a class assignment. The model runs on the Toolz server. Your subject is sent over HTTPS, the server builds the prompt and runs Gemma 3 1B, a small open model from Google, with Ollama, and the poem streams back within a few seconds. The personal details that often go into a poem for a card or a loved one are used to write the reply and then discarded: they are not stored or logged, not used to train any model, and not sent to any third-party AI company. It is free with no signup, within about 20 poems per 10 minutes.
