AI Meta Description Generator

Write six meta descriptions matched to a page's search intent. Free, no signup, and nothing you type is stored.

What is an AI meta description generator?

An AI meta description generator writes the short summary that search engines can show under a page title. You enter the page title, a summary of the page, an optional focus keyword and the search intent, and a language model returns six numbered descriptions of 140 to 158 characters, each with its character count.

Intent is the part that makes this tool different. Someone searching "how to descale a kettle" wants an answer; someone searching "buy kettle descaler" wants a product. The tool offers four intents, Informational, Commercial, Transactional and Local, and asks the model for a specific reason to click that fits the one you pick, written in active voice with the keyword used once. If you also need title tags, the AI SEO Meta Writer writes titles and descriptions together; this tool only does descriptions.

The model runs on the Toolz server. Your title and summary are sent over HTTPS, the server builds the prompt and runs Gemma 3 1B, a small open model from Google, with Ollama, and the six descriptions stream back within a few seconds. Your drafts are used to write the reply and then discarded: they are not stored or logged, not used to train any model, and not sent to any third-party AI company.

Be realistic about what a description does. Google does not use it as a ranking factor, and it rewrites many snippets from page text when it thinks that suits the query better. A good description improves click-through when it is shown. Desktop results cut off around 155 to 160 characters and mobile sooner. A 1B model often miscounts characters, including the count it prints after each line, and can add a claim the page does not support, so check each line before publishing.

It is free with no signup, within about 20 runs per 10 minutes. You could write descriptions yourself, use a template, or ask a general chatbot that may keep your text. When you have chosen one, the meta tag generator on Toolz produces the HTML tag to paste.

How to generate a meta description

  1. Add the title and summary

Enter the page title and a short summary of what the page covers. Both fields are required.

  2. Set keyword and intent

Add a focus keyword if you have one, then choose Informational, Commercial, Transactional or Local.

  3. Press Write descriptions

Six numbered descriptions stream in with character counts, usually within a few seconds.

  4. Choose and verify

Pick one, check its length and accuracy, press Redo for a fresh set, then copy it or download the list as .txt.

What the meta description generator does

  • Four search intents

Informational, Commercial, Transactional and Local each steer the reason to click the description gives.

  • Six options per run

Numbered descriptions to compare side by side, with Redo for another six.

  • Length target of 140-158 characters

Long enough to say something, short enough to fit most desktop results, with a count shown after each.

  • Keyword once, active voice

The focus keyword appears a single time so the line reads naturally instead of stuffed.
