vCard QR Code Generator

Create a vCard QR code that saves your name, phone, email, company, and address to a phone with one scan. A digital business card. Download SVG or PNG, 100% in your browser.

What is a vCard QR Code Generator?

A vCard QR Code Generator turns your contact details into a QR code that, when scanned, offers to save you straight into someone's phone address book. It is a digital business card: instead of handing over a paper card that gets typed in later or lost, you show a code, the other person points their camera at it, taps "Add contact," and your name, phone, email, company, title, and address land in their contacts fully filled out.

Under the hood the tool builds a vCard 3.0 record - the same BEGIN:VCARD ... END:VCARD text format that Apple Contacts, Google Contacts, and Outlook all import. Your details are placed into the correct fields (N and FN for the name, TEL for phone numbers, EMAIL, ORG, TITLE, URL, and ADR for the address), and any commas or semicolons in your data are escaped so a company name like "Rivera; Chen & Co" does not break the structure. That record is then encoded as a QR matrix with Reed-Solomon error correction following ISO/IEC 18004, so every scanner app reads it.

A free vCard QR code generator is only useful if the code still scans at business-card size, and the figures under the preview let you check that. A name, cell number and email (Maria Lopez, +1 555 0199, [email protected]) make a 129-byte vCard that encodes as a version 8 code, 49 modules wide, at error correction M. The fully filled sample contact grows to 276 bytes and 65 modules, and switching it to H pushes it to 85. Fewer modules means bigger squares at the same print size, which makes the code easier to scan.

The whole thing runs in your browser. Your phone number, email, and home or office address are encoded on your device and never uploaded, logged, or attached to a scan-tracking dashboard, and the tool keeps working offline once loaded. The code is static, so your details live inside the image with no short link that could expire or be deactivated. Print it on the back of a business card, add it to an email signature, a conference badge, a shop window, or a slide, and it keeps working as long as your details stay current.

How to use the vCard QR Code Generator?

  1. Fill in your contact details

Enter your name, phone, email, company, job title, website, and address. You do not need every field - a name plus one way to reach you is enough to generate a valid vCard.

  2. Check the code size

The QR code redraws instantly as you type, with its Version, Modules and Bytes shown under the preview. More fields make a denser code, so include what matters and leave the rest blank to keep the code easy to scan from a distance.

  3. Set error correction and colours

Raise error correction to Q or H for small print or a logo overlay, and choose foreground and background colours that match your brand while keeping strong contrast for reliable scanning.

  4. Download and share

Export a vector SVG for print - business cards, badges, signage - or a PNG for an email signature or slide. Scan it with two or three phones before you order a batch.

Key Features

  • One-scan contact save

Produces a vCard 3.0 record that iOS and Android read natively. A scan offers to add your full contact card - name, numbers, email, company, address - in a single tap.

  • Complete field set

First and last name, organisation, job title, cell and work phone, email, website, and a full street address. Fill in only the fields you want to share.

  • Correct vCard escaping

Commas, semicolons, backslashes, and line breaks in your details are escaped to vCard 3.0 rules, so structured fields like the name and address never get mangled.

  • SVG and PNG export

SVG stays sharp from a business card to a poster; PNG exports from 128 to 2048 pixels for email signatures and slides. No watermark, no account.

Frequently Asked Questions

A vCard QR code is a QR code that stores contact details in the vCard format. When a phone scans it, the device offers to save that person as a new contact, filling in the name, phone, email, and other fields automatically instead of making someone type them.
