What is Extract PDF Pages?

Extract PDF Pages is a free online tool that lets you select specific pages from a PDF document and create a new PDF containing only those pages. Unlike splitting, which divides the entire document, extraction lets you cherry-pick exactly the pages you need.
After the file loads, every page appears as a numbered tile. Click tiles to toggle them, use Select All or Select None, or type page numbers and ranges (e.g., 1, 3, 5-8, 12) into the page field. The field and the tiles stay in sync, so you can type a range and then click to add or drop single pages. This is perfect for pulling out specific chapters, important sections, or key pages from larger documents.
All extraction processing happens in your browser. Your PDF files are never uploaded to any server, ensuring complete privacy for confidential documents. The extracted PDF maintains the full quality and formatting of the original pages.
Here is how to extract pages in a PDF, step by step, with a 12-page file called report.pdf. Type 1, 5, 9 into the page field. The counter reads 3 of 12 pages selected, the button changes to Extract 3 Pages, and clicking it downloads report_extracted.pdf with those three pages. Typing 10-15 instead selects pages 10, 11 and 12, because a range that runs past the last page is clipped. The same steps extract pages of a PDF of any length, whether you need one page or forty.
Extraction and splitting sound alike and differ in one way that matters: splitting divides a document into several files, while extraction pulls a chosen set of pages into one new file and leaves the rest behind. The pages you take are copied whole, so quality, fonts and page size are identical to the source. Non-consecutive selections are fine. The new file always keeps the original page order, and each page is included once, however you type the list. The original file on your machine is never modified. What does not travel is the outline: bookmarks are dropped, and links that jump to another page of the document stop working. Encrypted files need unlocking in a reader first.
