Chiron is a small body orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, discovered in 1977 and named after the centaur of Greek myth who was a healer and teacher yet carried a wound that would not close. Astrology took the name literally: the sign Chiron occupied at your birth is read as the place you were hurt early, in a way that never entirely resolves, and as the particular kind of help you become able to give other people because of it. It is one of the few placements in modern astrology with a documented origin - the interpretation was built after 1977, not inherited from antiquity.
Chiron moves slowly and very unevenly. Its orbit takes about fifty years and is markedly elliptical, swinging from inside Saturn's orbit out past Uranus, so it races through some signs in under two years and crawls through others for more than eight. That is why Chiron generations are so unequal in size, and why a Chiron return - the point around age fifty when it comes back to where it started - lands at a slightly different age for each person. A birth date is all the calculation needs; Chiron rarely moves more than a tenth of a degree in a day.
Calculating it honestly is harder than it looks. Chiron is a Centaur on a chaotic orbit that passes close to Saturn, so unlike the Sun, the Moon or Venus it has no compact analytic theory - propagating simple orbital elements forward drifts by degrees over decades. This tool therefore uses a sampled ephemeris from JPL Horizons, NASA's own service, covering 1900 to 2100 at sixteen-day steps and interpolated with a cubic, which reproduces the source to within a few arcseconds. Outside those years it declines to answer rather than extrapolating, because a wrong Chiron looks exactly like a right one.
Chiron spends between two and eight years in a sign, so the date is all the calculation needs - no birth time is required.
Chiron moves about a tenth of a degree a day, so a time matters only if you were born within a day or so of it changing sign. The tool says when that applies.
Optional. With a time and city the calculator also reports which whole-sign house Chiron falls in, which astrologers read as the area of life the wound shows up in.

Positions sampled from NASA's own ephemeris service rather than propagated from orbital elements, which drift by degrees over decades
Two centuries at sixteen-day steps with cubic interpolation, reproducing the source positions to within a few arcseconds
Outside the tabulated years it returns nothing instead of extrapolating a chaotic orbit into a confident wrong answer
Because the position is real, a retrograde loop that carries Chiron back over a sign boundary is reported correctly
